Chinese Pregnancy Taboos

Hi, has anyone had any experience with moving between homes or setting up baby’s room while pregnant? I’ve heard from my relatives and older colleagues in office that it disrupts the baby’s spirit if you move home or renovate while pregnant. Advised best to stay put at ‘original’ home cos not sure if the new home’s qi is suitable for baby. I’m still waiting for my BTO and am currently staying at my parents’ and parents-in-law’s every alternate month. Technically it’s not a new home but it is moving between places every month. But then again what happens to those bubs conceived while on holiday??? Remain on holiday meh? Obviously we also need to make room for a nursery for when baby is out. But with all the taboos in place, it seems like my hands are tied. Anyone with any advice or similar experience??? Was your baby healthy?? #pregnancy #firsttimemom #pregnancytaboos #chinesesuperstitions

People will offer all sorts of reasons and share different perspectives on the concern you just posted. As you rightly pointed out, everyone has different experiences. Personally, I believe there’s no absolute right or wrong - because we all believe in different things. Consider choosing the option you feel most comfortable with, one you’re unlikely to regret or blame yourself for later.
