It can be safe, but it really depends on what is being treated. I had a small skin lesion that became sore and started bleeding when rubbed. Dr Wong Su-Ni checked it and diagnosed the lesion before performing electrosurgery to remove it. I was glad I consulted the best dermatologist in Singapore instead of trying to deal with it myself.
