Grandfather to-be smokes, what effects could this have on my baby?

My kid suffer from 7 cases of bronchitis in her first year of life because of her Grandfather (my fil) smoke in front of her. Even though we move out when she is 4 months old, she is still suffering from second-hand and third-hand smoke as they continue to smoke in front of her when we meet (twice a month) which resulting her in having cough and lung infection every month after the meet-up. It is best the Grandfather quit smoking and have his house a total clean-up.

It's bad to let baby to inhale 2nd hand smoke. Even if your father smoke outside away from the house, the smoke chemical residuals will still stuck on his hair and clothes. Thus, it is best to advise your father to quit smoking and if this is not workable you might want to consider to shift out from the house as the impact of the smoke on the baby's respiratory is bad.
