Hi mummy! Recently delivered at Thomson, Dr Tan Kai Lit was my gynae. AMAZING doctor! His fees was $3500-$5000 for csection. As i have to go thru emergency c section, he really HELPS me alot in the fees! He wont be pushing you to pay so much as he always understands that we as parents need to use ALOT of money not only to pay for gynae fees but also hospital bills.. in total my bill was close to $20k. BUT as im facing emergency c section surgery type 4.. my insurance helped me alot.. so i just received a cheque from thomson at $5k back. So make sure you keep all your receipts!! But lets say u need to go for emergency c section, make sure u have insurance, doctor will come down and talked to you and inform you to standby another $3-4k in hand. IF lets say its too high and you not able to fork out, he do suggest that he is able to send you to KK Hospital but with a diff gynae. Unless you have a gynae that u know in KK he will try his best to get them for you. But i sticked to him as ive been seeing him thru out my appointments. So you can try talk to your gynae abt this.
I paid for doctor fees plus baby detailed scan, glucose and all including baby delivery deposit is at $6587. This is only because i only get to know i was pregnant at 17weeks. Fees might go high up if i start from scratch.
