BLADDER OUTLET OBSTRUCTION AND OLIGOHYDRAMNIOS PROBLEM

Posterior Urethral Valve (PUV) can cause the oligohydramnios because of bladder obstruction. Minimal urine is being passed out by your baby. PUV is treated surgically. Ask your OB if she can refer you to a Pediatric Urologist to further explain the problem and further plans upon delivery of your baby. It needs to be treated as soon as possible to prevent further kidney problems.
