For female gynaes at SGH specifically, Dr Suzana Sulaiman comes up quite often in conversations, a few mums I know have mentioned she is highly recommended and worth looking into if you want to convert to private under her care. That said, it is worth noting that once you switch to private rate, costs do go up quite a bit compared to the subsidised route, so some mums prefer to stay subsidised through the first trimester at least before making the switch. My friend went to SGH and said the general advice she got was to finish all your first trimester tests on subsidy first, then convert, that way you save on the more expensive scans and screenings. It is a bit of a trade-off between having a fixed doctor you trust early on versus keeping costs lower for longer, so really depends on how much continuity of care matters to you at this stage.
