LO playgroup seperation anxiety

Hi. FTM here with a clingy 20 month old baby and had just send to MFS playgroup. Just started letting her nap in school but LO cried all the time and did not sleep. Is that normal?Do your kids also cry inconsolably until pickup? Will it get better? I am worried about her nap as LO always have a hard time napping. Just worried and #Needadvice

very normal. my LO didnt eat nor nap for the first 3-4weeks of school? then once school ends he looks for me to latch/ for snacks. but eventually I offered lesser and lesser snacks and he also got used to school/finally know he has to go school anyways so he started eating. he even eats better in school, asking for second portions when he is so picky at home. my little one doesnt cry inconsolably till pick up though, for this maybe can work on giving her more sense of security at home.

Hi. For this age, as you mentioned you just newly enrolled her in playgroup, it is very normal to experience separation anxiety as it is a big transition for her. When a child feels anxious, she/he can't sleep well, that's normal too. Just show her extra love and reassurances during this period of time to let her know that even though she's going to school, you are still here for her. I'm sure she'll grow out of this phase soon. :)
