Qn about Car Seats

Hello! Just my 2 cents and maybe some questions you can think about.. If you do not have a car. I don't see why you need to have one.. Babies are allowed without a car seat in taxi not phv, but legit taxi if you really need to travel by car. Cuz honestly if you travel with a car seat just for phv, you gonna carry the car seat around malls or something? Is your car seat able to fit into strollers? That being said, babies are not recommend to be in car seat for more than 2 hours as well. So when you wan put baby in stroller den car seat how? Carry around also?

I personally don’t own a car so I find car seat is of no use to me. You can still take taxi without car seats or opt for PHV with family options that comes with car seat. I personally don’t use grabfamily as my LO has car motion sickness, so i can only take public transport/taxi. Also agreed with the other comment, you wouldn’t want to be lugging the car seat everywhere you go. First trip back from hospital I just carry in my arms.

If dont have own car, suggest dont buy. My mistake was, we have a family car by my husband’s parents and i bought car seat thinking ill be using. Baby is 5months and we never use. End up just carry baby like that, and if no car just take taxi. And first trip back home, suggest just carry baby by arm, or have some else carry for you

Our first trip back home from the hospital I just carried in my arms and husband drove slowly.. my friend also did that. Cos too small for carrier. You can consider doona if cost is not an issue.. it’s expensive and baby outgrows by 1 year old usually. But convenient for taking grab
