Just Mums

A Question To Muslim Mums

Forgive me if it seems like an insensitive question and I don't mean to be, just generally curious. With breastfeeding, a mother needs to drink a lot of fluids to develop her milk supply. Just wondering for the fasting month, are you still expected to fast? And if you do, how do you keep a high milk supply thoughtout the day before you break your fast in the evening? So far I know, women on their period do not need to fast but I am not sure about breastfeeding mothers

Expected to fast or not... it really depends on individual. Best to seek for experts :)
