Is Car necessary?
Hi first time parent here. My wife is expecting and we are unsure if it’s necessary to get a car. Appreciate if you can share your experience.
not necessary. is it really a need? for us is added financial liability. think of money for petrol, car maintenance and breakdowns, cashcard, seasonal parking fees.. all those money can use for daily needs esp with a baby. if really need a car for events take taxi or rent once in a while is better. my first child is 6 and so far public transport has served us well. check out adult concession if you spend more than $128 per month for ezlink. bus and train all in. husband has that for work to and fro n jalan2. mine just normal topup cuz i dont travel more than $128. 128 is the cost for concession.
Read morenot necessary if your house is well connected with public transport nearby. my kid is almost 2 and we don’t have a car. it’s added financial stress, but if you can afford it then it’s a good bonus i guess.
