FTM with GD and need of insulin

Feeling upset that I have to take insulin to control my gestational diabetes as a first time mum. Does anyone face the same thing? Feeling quite upset. Yet, for the sake of baby.. I can endure the insulin jab daily. I just hope baby is all well and healthy, and I will be free of diabetes after birth. I am not diabetic pre-pregnancy. I really hope it’s just the placenta hormone causing all these.. 😢 #firstmom #GestationalDiabetes #insulin

I had GD too during my first pregnancy, mummy, and I also needed insulin. 😢 I remember feeling really upset at first because I kept wondering if I had done something wrong, but my OB reassured me that it was often caused by pregnancy hormones and the placenta. The insulin helped keep my sugar levels under control and baby was born healthy. ❤️ My blood sugar also went back to normal after delivery. Hang in there, mummy, you're doing what's best for your baby. 💕
