Maid Acne Outbreak

My FDW wants to see a doctor as she is facing an acne outbreak. She is insisting on seeing a doctor but we are not sure if GP will be helpful. For such non-essential services, we will have to bourne the full costs right? And seeing dermatologist is too costly.
