Me:) You’ll need to find other ways to pacify your child. We used a lot of hugging, talking, baby wearing, etc to keep my child feeling secure. And in toddlerhood, when it came to meltdowns, we used other forms of distraction and took her away from the source of the meltdown to calm her down. Pacifier’s a nice-to-have, but it’s certainly not essential, and I have no regrets with my decision:) (it does take more parental participation and engaging, so just a heads-up. Heh)
For me, my LO somehow hates the pacifier. No matter how many times I give it to her, she will push it out of her mouth. So when she cries, will mainly just try to calm her down by carrying her.
