A few notes on your three options (not from personal experience, just what mums share online their backgrounds): 1. Prof John Tee — very experienced, fast and efficient. The recurring feedback is he’s a man of few words, consults are quick (5 mins) and he won’t talk much if all is well. Stitching and delivery reported as fast. Great if you want a safe, no-nonsense senior gynae, but maybe less “hand-holding” if you want lots of reassurance and chit chat. 2. Dr Serene Thain — she’s in the Maternal & Fetal Medicine (high-risk) department, gold medallist, focuses on complex/high-risk pregnancies including things like GDM and placenta issues. Given your doctor flagged low placenta, she might actually be a strong fit since that’s literally her specialty area. 3. Dr Sim Wen Shan — less feedback floating around online, so worth asking if anyone here has seen her specifically. On your low placenta — do note it often “migrates” up as the uterus grows in 3rd trimester, so many mums who have low-lying placenta at this stage still go on to deliver naturally. Your gynae will rescan later to confirm. Fingers crossed it moves up for you! Bill-wise, KKH private (B1/single room) for natural delivery is usually a fair bit cheaper than Mt A/Parkway East, so you’re likely looking at lower out-of-pocket than your first two. Best to ask each clinic for their delivery package estimate.
