9.5 months baby doesn’t know his name

Hi everyone, my son is 9.5 months old, but he still doesn’t respond to his name when we call him. He can hear noises coz he turns to look at the main door whenever it opens or closes. I read that by this age he should already respond to his name. Should I be concerned? What else can I do to help him?

For me it is normal that they dont respond to their name. They would definitely acknowledge you as they age up. Depend on individual. For me, both of my kids would be around 11 mth onwards. If you feel that it is a concern, have it check with doctor upon monthly assessment.
