Hi. My baby is at 5 weeks now. She had colic at her 4th week and cry non stop almost 4 hrs She is feeling better nw. Got warded at kkh fr 2 days and theres ntg they can do abt it. They provide me the same medicine with what poly gave me ( ridwind ) . They said that the reason is Overfeeding. They Reduce the amt of milk from my normal feeding of 70ml to 40ml every 2 hrs feeding or 60ml for 3 hrs feeding. Baby still need to get use to it. Theres a calculation to this in case if u overfeed. We did a leg cycle massage so that she fart , tummy massage & even on sound of "white noise song from youtube" . After discharged , she is still crying. 2 to 3 days later, we got her the spring cradle with a motor to auto swing and she had a pleasant sleep for every 2 hrs nap. We had finally a good sleep of every 2 hrs before her milk time. we also got her the INARA ORGANIC balms fr newborn and it works very well. They have diff kind of balm for chest rub, digestive, fever, sleepy balm & more. She is recovering slowly now. Im thankful for all the recc Ive got from other mummies. try to get dr brown anti colic bottle. It works well on me.

Unfortunately there is indeed no medicine for colic as it's not really a medical condition. Babies cry because of various reasons and esp in the first month, they are adjusting to alot of new things like loud sounds, lights etc as opposed to when they're inside mummy where all is warm and dark and they feel more secure. My baby was like tt too and I did everything but nth worked. He only stop crying when I latch him. There was a time I latch him the whole day, I cld barely leave to go to the toilet. I did try to give him Ridwind and gripe water but it didn't help. Aft 20 days, he got better himself and became less fussy. Cld sleep on his own in his cot for an hr or 2. So, just hang on mummy, this phase will be over soon!

Thank u for ur response😊

There’s no medicine for colic. However, when I went to PD they gave me BioGaia, it’s a probiotic and it did help with his tummy. You can get it over the counter at watsons. But I think maybe consult a PD first. Can’t rmb how old my son was when I gave him that. You can also make sure u always burp the baby after feeding. Can try rubbing the tummy and can do some leg movement to help let the air out.

Will do that Thank u😊

divya my baby also cried alot usually after her feeds and had a bloated tummy. after i changed her milk both her bloated stomache and crying stopped turns out she has sensitive stomache so we gave her lactose free milk.

small feed + burping if it's formula feed, try change another formula
