Honestly, hindi ako sure sa exact rules kasi bawat school division may sariling implementation, pero from what I know, the maternity benefit ay based sa your actual leave period, not just your due date, kailangan mo talaga mag-file ng maternity leave to claim it. One of my teacher friends nag-inquire sa their HR and sabi, you get the full benefit during your maternity period (usually around 60 days), pero depende if it falls on working days or weekends, kaya best approach ay directly ask your principal or HR department para sa exact computation based sa April 16 due date mo.
