my lmp edd and ultrasound scan edd is about 5 days diff. ovulation period could be longer so using lmp to track edd may not be accurate. gynae usually would use the crl measurement to track the growth and determine the gestation age and edd. did first ultrasound at 5w6d and then second on at 7w5d and the growth within these two weeks is consistently so gynae used the ultrasound scan measurement to determine my edd instead of my lmp. think your gynae will ask you go back for another scan in two weeks to see if there's growth and heartbeat at week 7. take care!
Of course. Based on LMP may not be accurate as your ovulation may be late. Note : not everyone knows when their ovulation is. That's why an ultrasound is needed to determine how far along u are. Even I have a period tracker which can track my ovulation day too, my pregnancy was still early than I thought I was. So yup perfectly normal! Too early to see your fetus so come back again for another scan. By 8 weeks all is clear, the heartbeat and your fetus. That's why it's always recommended to do a scan at that week.
