Yes definitely it would take time to adjust and get back the momentum. Afterall you have a newborn, which takes up all your energy and drains you out. Dont be too hard on yourself. You are doing all you can, it may not be the best to others but its your best that matters more then anything else. Pat yourself on the back mummy!
