Gdm baby for induction

Doc req me to be induced in 2 days for natural birth.Im currently 39 weeks plus. Im diagnosed with gdm my last few weeks baby have been growing quite large.Yesterday scan shows baby is out og range weight.Really worried. O&G suggested induction and might be doing c-section aftet seeing scan. Anyone had similar situation?
