Do your kids have whatever you have for dinner? I'm tired of making 2 meals everyday.

You can try recipes that are 2-in-1, both child and parent friendly. For example, you can cook a tomato based pasta which is perfect for kids and to spice it up a little for the parents, you can add fresh-steamed mussles. Another simple recipe is crepes, you can make a basic crepe and choose different fillings for your child and for you and your husband. This way you will not get bored of eating bland kids food and you don't have to make a completely different meal for yourself. Yes, eat n cook healthy dishes and encourage kids to eat similarly, especially vegetables. Unless they are below 1-3 years old, no need to cook separately. Eating is a great time to bond and have fun with kids, share stories etc. From young, can also teach them after eating, the importance of bringing the dishes to the sink after each meal (just like tray return), or help you to keep the fork/spoon or plates in the cabinet after drying. Don't stress yourself too much :)

yes lucky for me i train them to eat whatever i eat and try not to be choosy. its tought at first but dun succumb to their demands... its harsh but when u reach the point... its rewarding ... some days we do cheat days too.... the get the meals they want... i cook extra... but if they insist to have wat they want... why dont u cook.in small portion. that way they get to eat their meals, no waste and fast cooking

Basically, my daughter eats everything that I cook..She dont like her meals to be separated or different from us..She likes it when i prepared steak, mashed and blanch veges for the sides..She will not eat everything tho..but one thing for sure, she will finished her veges..I am grateful for that..

My colleague has whatever her child is having (but would add salt and more seasoning for the adult version). Her child is 15months now and quite alright with solids. Especially since her child sees that mummy is eating the same thing, her son seemed to be less picky with his food.

Yup they sure do. I have this policy where-by if they aren't coming for dinner, they can't eat anything once the plates are gone, no food will be kept for them. (My kids are ages 6 and above)

Been cooking for hubby, lo n myself...very easy...usualli 1 meat, 1veg and soup....datzzz all. / or 1 meal dish : e.g pasta, mee goreng, bee hoon, porridge.

Yes we usually have the meals together. So far my kids love it (5 and 2yo). I usually cook soup, veg and meat. I think soup is a must for my kids.

I trained my son to eat whatever available is on our table. Whenever he tried to complain I would say "No. Eat what's on the table."
