is a must to inform HR

my divorce final judgement will be getting in May. Currently in Healthcare sector. May i know is it a must to inform HR about my change of marital status. i dont add my spouse for medical coverage and so on on dependent because he is holding csc. so i m not bothered. I am intending to change my job after july onwards. I just dont wish ppl n HR to know my personal things . I hoped to get someone who is familar with the system. Any HR parents here can advise me. Appeciate.

Depends on the organization. Better to check with your immediate supervisor or boss. But you’ll have to declare on your next job application forms.
