So disadvantages? 1. Illnesses & viruses - as with any social environment, this cannot be helped. Build up your child's immunity! 2. If the care centre is not within the school compound, then your child will have to walk to and fro the centre to school before and after school. I was at first paranoid for my gal who has to cross a road everyday but I've since convinced myself that it's something she has to learn. After all, a teacher is always there to walk with them. 3. I would say care centres would be great til about P3/4? Because by then they would have so many enrichment/PAL classes from school that they would most likely be in school longer than they would be at the care centre. When they are older, they probably also know by then how to go home by themselves. That's it from me! Hope you find my sharing helpful and then be able to decide your own needs :)
