Can ayurveda help treat my daughter’s cold and cough? Can you tell me of any remedies?

Remedy 1: Take a glass of warm milk. Add 1 tsp tumeric powder to the milk. Add 1 tsp black pepper powder to the milk. Mix well and drink twice a day. Remedy 2: Take 1 tbsp of carom seed powder. Place and wrap it in a clean cloth. Hold it close to your daughter's nose and get her to inhale.
