Tight mitten, hand injury

We bought a mitten that seemed tight. And unfortunately wasn't placed properly on LO hand and caused this redness and raised skin. It's been a week now and it hasn't been getting lighter or anything. But it doesn't cause any discomfort for LO. Has anyone encountered something similar like this?
