The detailed scan and chromosome check (like the NIPT test or amnio, depending what your doc recommends) are the main things, but usually they'll also do a thorough ultrasound to check baby's development, heart, organs, and measurements to make sure everything is on track. It's all precautionary because of age-related risks, but honestly most pregnancies go smoothly, just follow through with the appointments and ask the MFM doctor all your questions, they're really good at explaining everything step by step, okay?
