In the case of adoption, I think many grow up more secure and loved under the care of parents who are actually so keen on rearing them (as opposed to the parents who gave them up who perhaps were not ready to raise them). As for those raised by their dads away from their moms or for example if the mom passes away early, I think it's really still possible to feel all the love and security in the world if the primary caregivers provide it.
