Dreams/nightmares

Baby woke up and cried screaming like he’s afraid or something. I picked him up right away and we danced. He slowly calmed down. He cried again when my husband took him...he was looking at me, crying. I took him back from hubby and he calmed down again. Is it possible that my 6 month old son had a nightmare? This was the 3rd time he cried like that.
