Hello! Although some may say na dont worry kasi babies have their own pace, if may advise na si pedia, please follow kasi siya po ang professional when it comes to that area. It is better to solve an issue early than delay it because we are afraid of certain results. May milestones po kasi and it is our guide para malaman kung may need iaddress or everything seems fine. I am thankful that your pedia told you right away that this should be focused on. Communication with baby helps a lot. Mas OA, the better. Lakihan ang mouth movements and let baby watch you talk with big lip movements kasi that's how kids learn speaking other than listening. Encourage baby to talk by asking him/her to say things. Narrate activities even the stuff around your baby para lumawag ang vocab niya. For example, "What's this? A ball! Can you say ball? Ball. It's a red ball." Voice should be high pitch and words elongated para mas catchy para sa bata. OA sa matanda pero VERY essential sa babies who are still learning. Additional info: Any language is okay! Walang katotohanan ang code switching sa kids. The more languages, the better din. So whatever language you use at home, use niyo lang with baby. :) For background, I am a licensed preschool educator and nag grad school ako in language and literacy :)
hi mamsh! i feel you! lalo sakin may ka compare kasi may cousin si baby na 3 months older. Wait until 18 months. or at least 2 years old. concern ko din yan before- 12 months na si baby wala pa nasasabing words. hindi pa nakakapaglakad. I was even very willing ipacheck up siya sa devped para if may mali, magawan agad ng paraan. With my guidance din. Both of us are watching. Ginagawa kong interactive. Kumakanta din ako even sayaw. haha all for my baby. now she’s talking na.. She can sing ABC, twinkle twinkle, madami pa pero syempre hindi pa pulido yung words and sumasabay pa siya sakin. But may progress na siya. Nakakapagsabi na din siya ng “where’s papa” on her own kapag wala papa niya. sorry ang haba! I just want to share how fulfilling lahat ng effort ko. lols. ☺️
Yours is too early, mamsh. Normal lang po yan. Kausapin lang po si baby everyday.
