I when through OGT much earlier as mine is IVF pregnancy, my age & my BMI. Reading is generally done 5mins before food and 2hrs after food. Before food reading is 4.4 to 5.5 mmol/L and 2hrs after food is 5.5 to 6.6 mmol/L (for pregnant ladies). A slight increase intake of portion size or sugar contents can impact my readings 🤦🏻‍♀️ So even though I am following diet by the dietitian my ObGyn still put me on metFormin to be on the safe side. I did asked what will happen if the sugar level is not controlled, they told me the baby can get too big or worst case miscarriage. Also after delivery they will still ask me to monitor for 6mths just to make sure I won’t be a diabetic later after labour. So it will be a long journey. Hopes this info helps. ☺️ Just be cautious of what u take daily and like all the nurses told me many times now is not about what I want but is for the sake of baby’s health. So as a mom I have to do what best for my baby. ☺️ be strong k 💪🏻

thankyou so much for ur reply it really really helps with my anxiety 😅

Hi, I just went for mine in March. My readings were slighly high aft the Glucose test. For mine, they schedule a whole day session with a specialist in TMC. Taught us how to choose our food, what type of exercises is suitable for preganant mummies, how to use the self testing pricking machine and so on. basically what u need to do is watch out on ur diet. cut down on carbo, add more proteins to ur meals. ❤

will take on the advise of cut down carbs. thankyouuuu ❤️❤️

You can actually view your GTT results online via Health buddy. I’m a borderline GDM so I only hv to wait for call from the dietitian to brief me on the diet & how to read my reading on the glucometer. No medication required, just watch my diet, check my glucose reading myself & bring the sheet to the gynae during visits. That’s all..

i see alright i'll check my health hub thankyou

Usually they will ask you to do diet control, and see if the sugar level can come down. If diet control can’t work, then have to do insulin. But most of the time, diet control works unless you have some family diabetic background

i see. i hope i wont need insulin.
