A friend of mine recently travelled with her 7 week old baby and toddler from Sweden to Singapore and back. Both times she travelled with someone (her mom and then her husband) so I guess they managed. However, she has travelled such long journeys alone with her first child and it went well too. According to her, she was lucky because the trip went smoothly and everyone (from flight attendants, taxi drivers, fellow passengers) were exceptionally kind towards her, always offering to help. She advised that it's best to take your time and to ensure you have enough time so you don't have to rush. Rushing with a baby in tow can lead to accidents, forgetting things and pretty much any other mishap imaginable. Make sure you plan to have enough buffer time and it's always better to be early than late. Also, as difficult as it may sound, pack light. It is true that babies need a lot of things during travel but if you can cut the amount of items by a substantial amount, it will make your life easier especially when you have lug suitcases and bags by yourself.

Yeah, I notice people are usually nicer and kinder when there is a little baby around :)
