Low Papp-a level

A low PAPP-A result doesn't automatically mean there will be a problem with the pregnancy, so try not to panic. Many mums with low PAPP-A go on to have healthy pregnancies and healthy babies. It can be associated with a higher risk of things like a smaller baby, high blood pressure in pregnancy, or placental issues, which is why your doctor may recommend closer monitoring, extra growth scans, or other follow-up checks. The good thing is that your healthcare team already knows about it and can keep a closer eye on both you and baby throughout the pregnancy 😊
