Breastfeeding and Menstruation

Anyone na naka experience na 8 months na si LO nung dinatnan ulit. Dinatnan na din the following months. Bale 3month continue monthly na nagkaron. Tapos the next month di dinatnan? Nag gamot ako nung unang dinatnan kasi di normal yung lakas. Tapos 7days delay the next month. Last mens ko sakto naman sa date hindi delay. Possible pa din ba maging irregular?? Oo, totally normal yan, mama! While breastfeeding, ang period mo ay maaaring mag-come and go unpredictably, some months regular, some months delayed or skipped pa, lalo na kung exclusive breastfeeding pa ang LO mo at may night feeds. A few of my mum friends experienced the same thing around 8-10 months ng breastfeeding, and it took a few more months pa bago nag-settle ang cycle nila back to normal. That said, kung worried ka pa rin about the heaviness or the irregular pattern, mas okay na i-check mo with your OB para sure, lalo na kung may gamot ka na tinake, they can give you peace of mind and check if may underlying cause. Hopefully mag-settle na soon, pero in the meantime it's really just your body adjusting while you're still nursing.
