Someone in my mum WhatsApp group also mentioned that at this age, preschool will cover the phonics properly, so no need stress too much, just focus on casual exposure at home first. My neighbour tried this cute idea where she sent her daughter on a little scavenger hunt around the house to find things that start with a certain sound, like "find something starting with 'ssss'", her girl absolutely loved it and didn't even realise she was learning! Some mums feel the alphabet songs are enough, but a few said their kids got bored of it fast, so mixing in hands-on games really helps keep the momentum going.
