Burning sensation on lower tummy after csect

Anyone experience a random burning sensation on their lower tummy every now and then after csection? Mine feels more on the skin than on the inside and on the right lower tummy, not around incision area

Oh yes, I experienced this too after my C-section, that skin-surface burning feeling away from the actual incision is actually quite common and can catch you off guard because it does not feel like typical wound pain. From what I have heard, it can be related to nerve irritation, specifically the iliohypogastric nerve in that lower abdominal area, which can get stretched or irritated during the surgery, and it tends to flare up randomly even weeks later. My neighbour mentioned her doctor explained that the nerve sensitivity can linger for months before it settles, and that it is not necessarily a sign something is wrong, but it also should not just be dismissed as "normal healing" if it is bothering you regularly. Honestly, I wish someone had told me earlier that nerve-related burning is its own thing separate from incision soreness, because I kept second-guessing myself thinking it was something serious. Do get it checked with your OB or a doctor who can properly assess whether it is nerve-related or something else, because the right explanation really does help you manage it better.
