what is the cause? and how to recognise in early stages?

1mo trước

Hi There’s no one cause of breast cancer, however genetic, lifestyle and environmental factors can all increase your risk. Risk factors include: Being female Having a family history of, or close relative who has had breast cancer – If you have a hereditary mutation in the BRCA 1 or BRCA 2 genes, this increases your risk of developing both ovarian cancer and breast cancer Aging – women who are aged 50 years have a 10 times increased risk of breast cancer compared to women who are 30 years Excessive alcohol drinking Weight gain Being overweight Smoking To recognise breast cancer at early stage, you will need to learn the signs of breast cancer : Changes in the size or shape of your breast Any new lumps under your arm Discharge or fluid (other than breast milk) from the nipple, including blood Dimpling or a ‘pulling’ of the skin on your breast Breast pain or swelling Dry, flaky red skin around the nipple area Also, I would like to emphasise on early detection of breast cancer again.

Hi Teenagers from 15 years old may get breast cancer but it is very rare. In Malaysia, statistics from the Malaysia National Registry shows that there is a 0.1 incidence rate of females from 15-19 years old getting breast cancer (2017 to 2021), which is a very low rate compared to 149.8 for women from 65 to 69 years old.
