Anatomy scan at 22+5 weeks

My anatomy scan is scheduled for 22+5 weeks at SGH (1 more month). I'm assuming it's because the clinic is full as my doctor did mention he will schedule me for the 20 weeks scan. Is it too late? I tried to call the clinic to check but it seems like the Dr is away this period. Not sure if relevant but I have switched to private route in SGH. #Needadvice #firsttimemom

Dreaming of becoming a parent

Don’t worry, 22+5 is still within the normal window! The anatomy/detailed scan is usually done between 18-22 weeks, but it’s totally fine up to around 24 weeks. Some clinics even prefer slightly later (around 22 weeks) cos baby is bigger and the organs are easier to see clearly. So you’re not late at all. As long as it’s done before 24 weeks you’re good. Try not to stress, your doctor wouldn’t schedule it if it was a problem.
