Aiyooh, this is tough lah, sinus + wheezing in a 5-year-old can be quite stubborn. If the nasonex alone isn't really clearing the congestion, you really should go back to the doctor and mention specifically that the post-nasal drip is triggering the wheezing, maybe they can review whether an antihistamine on top might help (some kids benefit from both) or if there's something else going on like mild asthma that needs separate managing. A few of my mum friends have kids with similar issues and they found that once they tackled the nasal part properly, sometimes took trying different sprays or adding an oral antihistamine, the chest symptoms did improve quite a bit, so yes, controlling the nose usually helps with the phlegm, tapi kena make sure the doctor agrees on the combo treatment first. Don't just add antihistamines on your own lah, better get professional sign-off so you know what's safe for her age.
