Is it advisable to put baby powder on infants?

I was advised by the pedia and other doctors I've talked to not to put powder on infants as it may trigger allergies on them. I still don't let my toddlers use powder up until now.

Thanks! I tried using one on his back liquid baby powder.. But never used it again coz ya, i've read also an article that powders may cause asthma and allergies to infants.. Thanks thanks!
