Hi mummy! Financial planning is so difficult for my husband and I. I'm also trying to come to an agreed decision with my husband with regards to what to pay for, but we agree not to touch baby bonus and only use it for baby's school and medical things. All other necessities should come from our own pockets. Maybe you can talk to him if he is agreeable to opening a "baby fund" where both of you contribute an equal amount of money monthly for baby's expenses? The "emergencies" part that he worries about can also be taken from the baby funds you guys saved up for. Just a suggestion! Maybe other mothers have better ideas. Me and my husband are also trying to get this part right 😁 we also just recently enrolled ourselves in this couple financial planning workshop cos both of us are just really horrible with money haha. Maybe you can look into those workshops as well!

And i guess i'm the only one who prepares almost ALL of baby's necessities. I bought it almost all. And all he cares about is government's cash gift money. To spend it all on baby's necessities. Not even his family has sponsored anything. I mean, as of now, he only depends on his monthly income and me, indirectly. Can someone pls advice me on this situation? I've talked to him on saving part of his income but he said that " eventually he has to use it on emergencies. " 😮‍💨

maybe you might consider joining groups on fb as there are mummies giving out items for babies which they no longer used but in condtion (that is, if you don't mind hand down items )
