Glucolin for toddler

can 2yo toddler take glucolin ? my LO dislike plain water and drink very little. so i add 1 tablespoon of orange glucolin into 100ml of water to make him drink.

Honestly, I'd be a little cautious here, the general guidance going around among parents is that added sugar isn't really recommended for children under 2, and Glucolin is essentially pure glucose, so even diluted it's still adding sugar to his diet quite early. Some mums I know grew up drinking it when they were sick or had low blood sugar, but that's a bit different from using it daily just to encourage hydration. My friend actually asked her PD about this when her toddler was also refusing plain water, and the doctor suggested trying small sips of plain water offered more frequently throughout the day, or very lightly flavoured options like a small amount of fresh fruit in water, no added sugar. It's worth weighing whether the habit of sweetened water might make it even harder for him to accept plain water later on. Do check with your own PD or child nutritionist though, since every child is different and they can give you advice specific to your LO's needs.
