Upper back pain

18 weeks now and I have been experiencing very bad upper back ache around the shoulder blade areas and tight shoulders at night when sleeping. It gets so bad I keep waking up every 2 hours, have to stretch or wake my husband up to massage my upper back. Happens both when sleeping on my back and worse when on my side. Anyone experienced this? Anyway to resolve..?

Mummy to a beautiful rainbow baby ?

Hi mummy! Perhaps try prenatal massages? And prenatal yoga. My body ached in SO MANY WAYS when pregnant! These seemed to work for me. I think it’s bc your body is getting used to the new additional weight 😄 all the best and I hope you feel better soon! ♥️

Ooh and not to forget pregnancy pillow! I know some mummies don’t need them but it worked wonders for me and I managed to clock in more sleep after I got one :-)

mine went away I just did some stretching and make sure I have plenty space to lie down on the bed.
