You can chill a bagel in the fridge and give it to baby to chew on. Chilled bagels are perfect for teething woes and it actually soaks up the drool quite well. Moreover, it is soft enough for baby to gnaw on safely and hard enough so that baby doesn't take a huge chunk out and potentially choke. I learnt of this method from an American friend :)

My girl went through that too and still goes through that on and off. She went for a period of time just on bread mostly and her snacks. Suspect it was due to teething. I gave cold fruits and yoghurt and she would eat those too with bread. Lasted about 2 weeks.
