Hi mummies, kindly share with us your unique fever remedy. Don't feel like let my girl take medicine. Last check the degree was 38.1°c. She is 11 months old. Currently putting the cooling pad on her forehead and neck. Please share with me what can I do for her or anyway to makes her feel better. Remove the pad from her forehead. Never paste it there but only on the back of the neck. Keep sponging. Her neck, her armpits, her body and between her legs and let her wear minimal clothes like pampers and just a shirt. If you go to A&E this is what they will ask you to do also. If given medicine, pls let her have it. It helps to cool the fever down

My wife is afraid of using cold compress for my 1.5yo fever. Is this fear justified?

If using the fever patch, don’t put in the fridge. Or else, you can use alternative like using a towel dipper in room temp water and sponge your toddler. Or use a fever spray.

Under 3 months old once hit 38 degrees and persistent need to bring in to hospital. Meanwhile dress lightly no swaddle for now and monitor ok. Give paracetamol or ibuprofen just lowers the fever, doesnt address the underlying problem (infecteion etc). Also please dont ice bath all, just light sponge with cool water if too heaty.
