putus menyusu badan. berhenti menyusu badan.

hi, anak baru 1tahun 4bulan. masih terfikir cara wean off yg berkesan. bercadang untuk nk wean off bila umur nye 2 tahun / sebelum itu. dah cuba pam masuk botol pun xmau. help me with some tips mommies! tq in advance! #weanoff

Aiii tension betul kan weaning phase ni, especially kalau baby stubborn pasal botol hehe. Honestly a few of us mums tried the gradual approach, drop one feed every few days instead of sudden stop, so your body and baby sama-sama adjust, less painful for you and less trauma for dia. Since dia dah 1 tahun 4 bulan, try introducing cup (sipper or open cup) instead of bottle, some babies prefer sebab rasa berbeza, and boleh juga start reducing night feeds first or morning feed, whichever dia least attached to. Timing-wise, closer to 2 tahun memang easier because dia boleh understand more, tapi depends jugak on your comfort level and body, some mums terpaksa stop earlier because sakit or supply issues, yang penting is you do it at YOUR pace, not rush. One of my mum friends did it over 3-4 months by slowly replacing feeds with solids and milk from cup, and she said consistency is key plus stay calm because baby picks up on our stress jugak!
