Delayed Walking

#firsttimemom #pleasehelp my 18 month old toddler is not yet walking independently but can walk assisted. She can't balance well but can stand straight with support. Meron ba same experience with their LO? I am worried na po. Pedia said wait until 2.

Uy, totally valid to worry, mama, but 18 months with assisted walking is actually on the spectrum, a few of us had LOs who walked independently closer to 2 years and they caught up fine, walang problema ngayon. Since your pedia is okay with waiting until 2, that's actually the standard window, pero if you feel in your gut na may something off sa balance or strength, it's never wrong to ask for a second opinion or occupational therapy assessment kasi early intervention really helps. Marami sa amin ang nag-start ng gentle play-based activities like pushing toy cars or dancing together, and it made a difference! Stress less, mama, every baby is on their own timeline, pero always listen sa mommy instinct mo din.
