Hello mga mommy. 1 month after giving birth, normal delivery, dinugo ako kahapon, menstruation na kaya to? , though before I was diagnosed to have PCOS. Btw, breastfeeding po ako now sa baby ko. And pwede na kaya kong magpunta sa ob ko for check up? #1stimemom #advicepls #thanks

Hi mama! It's possible na postpartum bleeding pa yan since one month is still pretty early, lalo na if heavy pa rin, my OB friend always reminds us na it can last up to 6 weeks kaya better check with your doctor to be sure, especially with your PCOS history. Definitely go sa OB mo for that checkup, walang problema yan kahit breastfeeding ka pa, at dapat malaman nyo kung normal lang or if something needs attention. Sending you strength, first month is overwhelming na even without worrying about these things!

Panubigan, vaginal discharge, o ihi?

Paano malaman kung vaginal discharge lang o panubigan na? Kasi may lumalabas sakin na water may kasamang sticky something pero hindi sya consistent pawala wala po yung discharge. 34 weeks pregnant po. Matubig din daw kasi ang tiyan ko sabi ng ob ko, then ang 34 weeks daw po kasi is prone to discharge talaga. Nakakalito kasing i-identify minsan kung vaginal discharge lang ba, ihi, o panubigan na. Wala din po akong nararamdamang pain #1stimemom

Girl, totoo yan, napaka-confusing talaga ng 34 weeks! Ang easiest way para ma-tell ang difference: kung amoy-amoy mo lang, panubigan usually walang malakas na amoy (or slightly sweet), while discharge may lilitong amoy at mas sticky talaga; ihi naman has that distinctive pee smell. Since may kasamang sticky something and hindi consistent, plus ang OB mo na sinabi na prone ka talaga sa discharge at matubig ang tiyan mo, it's likely normal discharge or amniotic fluid, pero given na wala ka pang clear signs ng labor (pain, consistent leaking, strong smell), I'd still suggest checking with your OB just to be safe, especially since first-time mom ka at peace of mind lang yan. A few of my mum friends said their OBs actually don't mind a quick text or call about stuff like this, kaya don't hesitate!

Uy, 33 weeks na! Dito sa amin, dala ko yung basics lang: comfortable shirts na pwedeng i-open sa front (para sa skin-to-skin at breastfeeding), 2-3 pairs ng underwear na disposable type, maternity pads (dami talaga!), toiletries, phone charger, at ng course comfortable clothes para paguwi, important yan kasi parang pre-pregnancy size lang ang suot mo agad after haha. A few of us also threw in slippers with grip, hair ties, at light snacks na allowed ng hospital, plus copies ng documents at insurance card.
