How much folic acid should i be taking?

I am now in week 11 of my pregnancy, i have 5mg of folic acid. I recently bought prenatal vitamins which has 800mcg of folic acid. Should i take both or can i just take the prenatal vitamins only

Folic acid can be taken up till 12th weeks and the amount will only be 5mg as advice recommended by most doctor. Subsequently, then you can take your other prenatal vitamins. However, if it contains folic acid, do seek advice if it is suitable for continuation.
