Hi mummies, Did any of your babies have erythema toxicum as diagnosed by PD relating to baby acne? Any remedies or methods which you all did and can recommend?

I don't know what skin condition my baby has, but it's also baby acne and cradle cap on her hair line and eyebrows. I use breast milk on my baby's skin and it really helped with both issues! it took about one week to heal her baby acne. Cradle cap comes and goes but with consistent effort, I can keep it at bay. Hope it helps!

Nipple stimulation can trigger the release of oxytocin, which is the hormone that causes contractions, so there is some science behind it 😊 That said, it's not a guaranteed way to start labour, and it's generally something to discuss with your gynae first, especially if you have any pregnancy complications or have been advised against certain activities. Breast massage is often used more for comfort or breastfeeding preparation, while nipple stimulation is the one more commonly linked to encouraging labour. Many mums try it near their due date, but every body (and baby!) responds differently
