PD recommendations in the East?

Might want to bring LO to see PD for ger bowel movements

Hey! For East side, Dr Theresa Toh's name does come up quite a bit among parents I know, a few have mentioned she's quite thorough and good with the little ones, so might be worth checking her out for your LO's bowel movement concerns. That said, it's always good to weigh whether the clinic's location and waiting times work for you too, since those things matter a lot when you have a fussy or uncomfortable baby in tow. Some mums find their regular PD handles most digestive issues well enough, while others prefer to go to a specialist if it's been ongoing for a while. Either way, do still loop in your own doctor first to get a proper assessment, bowel movement issues in young ones can have quite a few different causes, so better to get a professional to take a look rather than go by hearsay alone!

Feedback on little footprints 275 branch ?

Can someone please help provide personal feedback on LFP @ sengkang 275.

Hi mum, I don’t have personal experience with that branch but I heard from a friend that the teachers were attentive and the environment felt quite warm and structured. I think best is still to go for a tour or trial because seeing how the teachers interact with the kids tells you the most.

My girl is now toilet trained. When we bring her to the playground, we will bring a tape diaper on standby (so that she can pee when she wants to) Can I know how you manage in public when your child wants to pee (when there are no child friendly toilets)?

For me, when I plan to take my son to the play ground, we make sure that he pees before we leave the house. He should then be able to hold his pee until we get home again. Otherwise, I always have wet wipes and tissues on hand to clean public toilets if he really needs to go.

1y6m constipation

It started around early July. It was bad but she managed to poop after we gave gripe water (dont actually if coincidence or really worked). Then until now, her poops are a mixture of hard small rounded stools + normal stool. Today, it has been 2 days since she pooped and it seems hard for her to pass motion. She's been squirming but nothing comes out. Any advise to share? She's on solids and formula. Her appetite seems okay, eats brocolli/carrot and fruits.

You can try giving her probiotics

Toddler Water Bottle

My toddler is 20 months old and still doesn't know how to drink from a straw. What kind of water bottles do I need to buy? I have tried so many brands like pigeon and etc from kiddy palace, but nothing works for my toddler. Also, my toddler doesn't like to drink plain water. Is there any tips on how I can get my child to drink plain water?

Get Richell training cup, LO can learn how to use a straw too. For my LO, she uses bottles which has prints she likes. She also uses toy kitchen set cups to drink water.

Shampoo recommendations for 1-yr old Toddler

Hi.. I have used Kodomo shampoo and Aveeno body wash & shampoo for my 1 Yr old girl before.. But realised it's making her hair feel dry.. Any recommendations for shampoo for toddlers, pls? #firsttimemom #advicepls

Any trusted and good childcare centre for children who are turning 18mths and above?

Hi all, I am asking on behalf of my friend who has a child who is turning 18 months old soon. Her child is attending infant care in another school now and has been incurring more injuries than usual lately. Anyone has any recommendations of preschool / childcare centre which has trusted batch of teachers who have true passion for children and looks after them wholeheartedly to ensure kids's safety and well being? My friend is staying in Newton, so preferably seeking a centre near the central of Singapore.

I really feel for your friend, it must be so stressful seeing her little one come home with injuries and not feeling fully confident in the centre. A few names that come up often among parents in the central area are MindChamps and Pat's Schoolhouse, both of which have branches not too far from Newton and generally have a good reputation for attentive teachers. It might be worth visiting a couple of centres in person to observe the teacher-to-child ratio and see how the teachers interact with the toddlers, since that can tell you a lot more than reviews alone. Hoping your friend finds a safe and nurturing place for her child soon lah, it really makes such a big difference at this age.

Taking off her pajamas pants

Ho mummies, can anyone explain why my turning 3 years old toddler has been refusing to change into her pyjamas pants before sleep. And even after she deep sleep and we changed. She can wake up in the middle of the night fussing and remove the pants herself. It happens almost every single nighht recently.

Are these new pyjamas? Could your toddler be finding them too tight or too rough on the skin?
